INTRODUCTION

Issues that the hotfix package fixes

This hotfix fixes the following issues that were not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

• In a PowerPoint 2007 presentation, when you try to update the file location of linked OLE objects that are hosted on a server that is running Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007, you receive the following error message:

The linked file was unavailable and can’t be updated
• When you run a custom macro to insert a slide from another presentation in PowerPoint 2007, the text in the inserted slide is displayed correctly. However, the images in the inserted slide are displayed as red Xs. Additionally, you receive the following error message:

The image cannot be displayed. Your computer may not have enough memory to open the image, or the image may have been corrupted. Restart your computer, and then open the file again. If the red x appears, you may have to delete the image and then insert it again.
• On a client computer that has the 2007 Microsoft Office system and the 2007 Office system Administrative Templates installed, the Convert command is not disabled (dimmed) in PowerPoint 2007 after you enable the Disallow Convert Document (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) policy.

To obtain the 2007 Office system Administrative Template files, visit the following Microsoft Web site:

• You run a macro to create a presentation in PowerPoint 2007. When you try to save the presentation to a SharePoint site, the presentation is not saved the first time.
• A macro that is assigned as the custom action to a shape in a presentation does not run in PowerPoint 2007. This problem occurs if the following conditions are true:

• The presentation is saved in the PowerPoint 2003 file format.
• PowerPoint 2007 has one or more add-ins installed.

Note This problem does not occur if other types of action settings are assigned to the shape in the presentation.
