SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario:

• In a Microsoft Office Word 2007 document, you enable Track Changes.
• You insert a table into the document, and then you merge or split some cells in the table.

In this scenario, you expect the row that contains the merged or split cells to remain marked by Track Changes as a revision. Instead, this row is not marked as a revision.

Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next Office Word 2007 service pack that contains this hotfix.
